Today’s weather in Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic Weather

The Dominican Republic is one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean and a lot of it has to do with the Dominican Republic weather. Hispaniola is located right in the middle of the Caribbean and because of that location it only sees two seasons: hot and hotter. The average temperature for the island is 25 C (77F). There are spots in the Dominican Republic which experience lower temperatures, but they tend to be in the higher elevations. Dominican Republic weather does have a wet season, but because of its location it tends to get a lot of precipitation during hurricane season.

January and February are the coolest months in the island, but if you are in the coast, you should not expect freezing temperatures. There has been snow in the Dominican Republic but only at the top of Pico Duarte, and even at the high altitude they are extremely rare.
